On 24th Aug 2023

Are you keen on developing the market for clean and sustainable bioenergy heating solutions in your city or region? Are you currently engaged in bioheat projects and eager to explore innovative financing models like Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) and Energy Service Company (ESCO)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to enhance your knowledge and network with experts in the field.

We are delighted to draw your attention to the H2020 Prospect+ project's latest offering. Join the "International Training Seminar: Sustainable Bioenergy Heating," taking place from 2-5 October 2023 in Linz, Austria. This event is organised by our partner and mentor, OÖ Energiesparverband (ESV), the regional energy agency of Upper Austria.

Through a collaboration with the Prospect+ project, representatives of the public sector can apply for free participation and additional support for travel and accommodation (max 500 €).

Sustainable Bioheat – a key element of the energy transition

As a CO2-neutral fuel, sustainable bioenergy is a key component in decarbonising and securing our energy supply. Market transformation towards modern, efficient and low-emission bioheat systems offers significant opportunities for affordable and local energy supply as well as climate and environment protection.

The training seminar is designed to shed light on bioenergy technologies, market development and the sustainability of bioenergy. What sets this seminar apart is its hands-on approach, allowing attendees to interact with seasoned experts and among each other. The programme is a dynamic blend of seminars, educational site visits, and interactive activities, creating a rich learning experience within an international cohort.

The training focuses on small- to mid-scale wood pellet and wood chip projects (for homes, smaller commercial/public buildings and district heating grids). Whether you represent a business, a public body, or an institution keen on advancing bioheat markets, this seminar holds particular relevance for participants from countries where the automatic bioenergy heating market is still in its nascent stages.
