Become an Ambassador
Who can become a PROSPECT+ Innovative Financing Ambassador?
We will select the Ambassadors among the PROSPECT+ mentors and mentees committed to supporting the capacity building of local actors in their respective countries in order to increase awareness of the practicalities of implementing local climate and energy action plans with the use of innovative financing instruments.
The Ambassador cities or regions will be selected based on their experience and proposed scope of their involvement, with priority given to those participants with the most advanced expertise in delivering successful projects with the use of innovative financing instruments and to those that have experience with bringing together various stakeholders and ensuring a snowball effect.
How to become a PROSPECT+ Innovative Financing Ambassador?
If you want to become a PROSPECT+ Innovative Financing Ambassador, please talk to your facilitator, who will explain the selection process.
We will invite representatives of five Ambassador cities or regions that propose the most interesting plans to engage at least six additional public authorities in their countries to join an additional study visit abroad and we will offer reimbursement of the costs of the organisation of in-person or online meetings.
What are the benefits?
Five top Ambassadors will be invited to join an additional international study visit of their choice to further improve their understanding of the respective innovative financing instrument ahead of organising the meetings for at least six other public authorities in their country.
The Ambassador cities or regions will also receive advice on the most effective stakeholder engagement methods. Their active involvement and experience will be promoted by the PROSPECT+ Consortium and they will be endorsed for their commitment to improving the effectiveness of implementing the local energy and climate action plans.
The Ambassadors will be invited to speak at the replication and policy webinars and at the CoP online meetings for registered participants and to present their expertise to a broad network of external stakeholders. They will have an opportunity to contribute to the policy briefs and policy dialogue so that their voice is heard by key players.
They will also receive various materials that will help them explain the benefits of innovative financing instruments to their local partners.
